Mechanical TMR Mixer Design
CAD 30–250
About the project
We are looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to help us design a TMR Feed Mixer Machine. We already have working reference videos and a basic machine concept. We do not need someone to invent the machine from zero. We need an engineer who can study the reference, calculate the correct material thicknesses, and prepare fabrication-ready drawings. Scope of Work: Study our working reference video and machine requirements. Design the complete TMR mixer body, including side panels, bottom shape, end plates, frame, shaft, paddles/augers, discharge door, and supporting structure. Calculate proper sheet thickness in mm based on expected load, feed weight, machine size, and structural strength. Suggest suitable materials for sheets, shaft, paddles, bearings, gearbox mounting, frame, and other critical parts. Provide exact dimensions for each panel and component. Prepare laser-cutting-ready drawings/files for steel sheet cutting. Provide fabrication drawings that a local welder/fabricator can understand easily. Provide 2D drawings and 3D model of the machine. Calculate shaft size, bearing size, motor HP, gearbox ratio, RPM, torque, and chain/coupling requirements. Check whether the machine can safely handle the required feed load without bending, cracking, or failure. Suggest welding points, reinforcement locations, stiffeners, ribs, brackets, and frame support. Make the design practical for local fabrication using laser-cut sheets, welding, and standard available parts. Provide BOM / material list with thickness, quantity, approximate size, and material grade. Provide assembly drawings so the fabrication team can assemble the machine step by step. Ideal Candidate: Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in agricultural machinery, mixers, conveyors, tanks, trailers, or heavy fabrication. Strong knowledge of sheet metal design and structural calculations. Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar software. Able to create DXF files for laser cutting. Able to design for real-world fabrication, not just theoretical CAD. Experience with shaft, bearing, gearbox, chain drive, and torque calculations is preferred. Deliverables Required: 3D CAD model 2D fabrication drawings DXF files for laser cutting Sheet thickness and structural calculation report Shaft, motor, gearbox, bearing, and torque calculations BOM / material list Assembly drawings Practical fabrication notes Project Goal: We want to build a strong, reliable TMR feed mixer using locally available steel and fabrication services. The final design should be ready for laser cutting and welding, with clear calculations and drawings so our fabrication team can manufacture it accurately.
