Premium Resin Garden Decor Concepts

About the project

I’m developing a new line of premium resin ornaments for placement around a small pond and need striking concept designs for four animals: a turtle, a frog, a kitten, and a dog. Each piece should read as a bespoke sculpture rather than a mass-produced figurine, with subtle storytelling elements that feel at home beside water. Finish & mood Blend a cool metallic sheen with the earthy character of weathered stone so the final surface looks as though bronze or aged limestone were cast in one pour. Think muted coppers, pewters, or oxidised silvers breaking through soft, stone-like patina. The effect must be achievable in coloured resin (no actual metal plating required). Scale & setting All concepts should fall in the medium range—roughly 12 – 24 inches in their longest dimension—so they hold presence beside reeds, lilies, and rock edging without dominating the view. What I need from you • Initial hand-sketches or digital thumbnails exploring pose and personality for each animal. • Refined concept renderings (colour, front & side views) that clearly show proportion, surface texture, and the blended metallic/stone finish. 3D blocking or ZBrush/Blender grey-models are welcome if that’s your process, but high-quality 2D concept art is sufficient at this stage. • A brief material-callout sheet per design noting pigment choices or finishing techniques that would produce the dual-texture effect in resin casting. Acceptance I’ll consider a concept complete when the form feels balanced for pond placement, the finish looks practically executable in resin, and each animal carries a distinctive, premium character.
