3D Cartoon RPG Game Development for Steam publish
USD 300–500
About the project
I'm looking for an experienced game developer to create a 3D multiplayer RPG for PC using the Godot or Unity engine. The final version of the project should feature a vibrant, engaging cartoon-style visual direction with immersive gameplay, smooth mechanics, and a polished player experience. The first prototype will focus on creating a playable PC build that proves the core gameplay loop before expanding into the full Steam-ready version. Prototype goal: Build a playable hide-and-seek style game prototype where hiders try to blend in with bot characters, complete tasks, and survive the round while hunters try to identify and eliminate real players. Requirements: Godot/Unity project setup, PC playable build, placeholder cartoon characters, test map, player movement and camera, bot crowd AI, hunter/hider system, random hunter selection, 3-minute rounds, win/loss conditions, hunter shooting mechanics, limited shots, bot and player elimination effects, hider-to-hunter conversion, bot reduction system, shared task system with 5-8 prototype tasks, random task selection, freeze ability, simple UI, round results, testing, bug fixes, and balancing. Deliverables: - Playable PC prototype build - Full source project - Simple test map - Placeholder cartoon-style assets - Core hunter/hider gameplay loop - Working bot behavior - Working sample task system - Working shooting, elimination, bot reduction, and freeze mechanics - Basic UI and result flow - Notes for expanding the prototype into the full Steam-ready version Trial: Basic movement and test map: Engine setup, PC build, placeholder character, movement, camera, and one simple shopping mall map. Note: Do you agree to the trial test? Which engine do you recommend for the final Steam release, Godot or Unity? Please start with your estimated budget and timeline first if you aren't a bot. If so, I'll give you 1 score and remove all bots This is a long-term project with a limited budget. Prototype notes: This first prototype is not the final Steam-ready game. It is a playable foundation to test the main gameplay feel, including movement, bots, hunter/hider roles, tasks, eliminations, and round pacing. After this prototype is tested, the next phase can expand into private lobbies, public matchmaking, the full 30-task pool, better visuals, sound, Steam setup, and polish.
