“James Webb Space Telescope (A)” by NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center · Public Domain Mark 1.0
Changes: cleaned up (centered, grounded, renamed), converted to GLB/FBX/OBJ/BLEND, web-optimized viewer copy.
Description
Technical details: about 494,000 polygons and 508,000 vertices, UV-mapped, with 46 colour materials and no image textures. That density suits close-up renders; decimate it before real-time mobile or VR use. Scaled to 20 metres across for AiZity's catalogue scale (the real sunshield is about 21 by 14 metres).
The download includes GLB for web viewers and three.js, FBX for Unity, Unreal Engine, Maya and Cinema 4D, OBJ as a widely supported mesh, and BLEND for Blender. AiZity cleaned up the original (centred, grounded and renamed the parts) and converted it to these formats.
Good for astronomy lessons, space science explainers, documentary graphics and planetarium shows.
License: Public domain. Made by NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center and free of copyright as a U.S. government work. Free for personal and commercial use; please credit NASA as the source. NASA logos and insignia are not included, and use must not suggest NASA endorsement.
