About the project

A twin-screw gearbox is required for continuous-duty industrial machinery. I need a complete mechanical design that can withstand heavy cyclic loads and operate reliably on a 24/7 production line. While the exact host machine will be shared after project start, think of a high-throughput environment where durability and serviceability matter more than compactness. Your task spans concept through production-ready documentation. That includes sizing and selecting gears, shafts, bearings, seals, and lubrication; producing a robust housing that keeps alignment tight under load; and predicting performance so we can validate torque capacity, efficiency, and noise levels before committing to steel. I am open to design choices—as long as the solution can be tuned later for higher torque, higher efficiency, or quieter operation without forcing a complete redesign. Deliverables • 3D CAD model (SolidWorks, Inventor, or comparable neutral format) • Detailed manufacturing drawings with tolerances, surface finishes, and material specs • Bill of materials and consumables list • Basic FEA or AGMA/ISO calculations demonstrating factor of safety and service life • Assembly & maintenance guide, including lubricant type and change intervals Files must be organised clearly so my machine shop can quote and the maintenance crew can service the unit without lengthy explanations. Let me know the software versions you’ll be using and the standards you plan to reference when you submit your proposal.
