About the project

Project Title: Reputation Systems Engineer for Developer Evidence Platform Project Description: We are looking for an experienced Reputation Systems Engineer to help design and implement evidence-based scoring systems for a Web3 developer reputation platform. The project focuses on building transparent, testable models that evaluate developer activity using technical evidence such as GitHub contributions, project history, smart contract deployments, attestations, reviews, and blockchain activity. The goal is not to create a simple ranking system, but to build an explainable reputation layer where every score or result can be traced back to clear evidence and rules. You will work on data models, scoring logic, rule-based evaluation, provenance tracking, anti-gaming checks, and system design for reliable reputation analysis. Key Responsibilities: * Design data models for developer identities, repositories, projects, deployments, attestations, reviews, and evidence records * Build rule-based scoring and classification logic with deterministic, explainable outputs * Create transparent scoring components that show which evidence influenced each result * Design versioning, recalculation, audit history, and historical comparison mechanisms * Identify manipulation risks, duplicated evidence, identity conflicts, and unfair scoring patterns * Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code * Document technical decisions, assumptions, and scoring logic clearly Required Skills: * Strong experience with data modeling, scoring systems, rules engines, analytics, or trust and safety systems * Strong TypeScript or Python experience * Ability to translate written specifications into tested software * Good understanding of schema design, data lineage, reproducibility, and model versioning * Strong analytical thinking and clear communication * Experience designing explainable systems rather than black-box scoring models Preferred Skills: * Experience with developer analytics, fraud prevention, identity systems, reputation systems, or credential platforms * Familiarity with GitHub data, blockchain activity, attestations, and open-source contribution patterns * Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other structured data stores * Web3 or blockchain development experience is a plus Expected Deliverables: * Reputation/evidence data model proposal * Initial scoring and rule logic implementation * Test cases for edge cases and manipulation risks * Documentation explaining scoring rules, assumptions, and future improvements * Clean code submitted through GitHub Pull Request Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has strong system-design judgment, understands how to build fair and explainable scoring systems, and can reason carefully about evidence quality, manipulation risks, and data reliability. Please apply with: * A short summary of relevant experience * Examples of similar scoring, data modeling, trust, analytics, or reputation systems you have worked on * Your preferred stack: TypeScript, Python, or both * Your availability and estimated timeline
