About the project
I need a folding gate conceived entirely in metal with a crisp, modern aesthetic that complements a contemporary façade. The concept should balance visual lightness with structural stability, fold neatly without sagging, and allow smooth manual or motorised operation. You will receive exact site measurements, clearance constraints, and photos of the surrounding architecture as soon as the project begins. The design must account for wind load, hinge placement, track or pivot hardware, and a corrosion-resistant finish suitable for outdoor use. Deliverables • Two to three concept options presented as sketches or quick 3D views • One final, refined model with dimensioned CAD drawings (plan, elevation, section) • Hardware and material specification sheet, including suggested profiles and finishes • High-resolution renderings that illustrate the gate closed, partially folded, and fully open Acceptance criteria • Gate folds into the allotted setback without encroaching on neighbouring structures • All joints, hinges, and locking points detailed clearly for fabrication • Files supplied in PDF for print and DWG or STEP for the fabricator’s CNC workflow I’ll review each stage promptly so we can lock the final design and move straight into fabrication.
