About the project

I’m looking for an experienced 3D character artist to create highly realistic models for a custom sculpting project. The core pipeline should revolve around Maya—my preferred tool for this job—though I’m happy if you bounce between Blender or ZBrush for specific stages such as high-poly detailing or retopology. The work goes beyond a clean sculpt; I need cinematic-quality textures, believable materials, and polished 3D text elements that feel at home in a film trailer or game cut-scene. Because the brief calls for realism, strong knowledge of anatomy, cloth simulation, and surface imperfections is essential. Time isn’t a pressure point here; there’s no hard deadline, so you’ll have the breathing room to refine every pore, seam, and shader until it looks right. Deliverables • One fully rig-ready, production-quality realistic character in Maya (.ma or .mb) • 4K PBR texture sets (base color, normal, roughness, metallic, subsurface, etc.) • A separate cinematic 3D text asset matching the character’s aesthetic • Clean UVs, organized outliner, and labeled layers for easy downstream edits • Final turntable renders and wireframe screenshots for approval Send over a link to your portfolio highlighting similar realistic sculpts and let me know which stages you like to keep in Maya versus other programs.
