About the project

Project Overview We are developing an innovative double ski roller travel bag designed for practical transport of two pairs of skis, boots, and clothing. The design emphasizes durability, smart internal organization, ease of loading, and travel convenience (airport, resort, vehicle). It features several distinctive improvements over conventional ski bags. Current Scope (This Phase) We need an experienced 3D artist to create a clean, detailed 3D model and 4–6 high-resolution static renders. Primary Goal: Capture the overall shape, size, and footprint so vendors can instantly understand the product and how two full sets of skis fit inside. You will start from rough drawings and key dimensions we provide (after NDA). Build a clean, well-organized concept model (SolidWorks preferred). Material realism is not required at this stage — a single neutral texture is sufficient as long as shape, seams, panel breaks, and major components read clearly. Deliverables (This Phase Only) Accurate, well-organized 3D model of the fully assembled bag, including: outer shell, straps/closures, handles, rollers/carriage, reinforcements, internal dividers (double ski capacity), boot compartment, clothing storage sections, and other unique functional/structural elements. Editable 3D file (STEP preferred, or native SolidWorks format). 4–6 high-resolution static renders (3–4K resolution, PNG or JPEG) showing: Closed bag from multiple angles (side, front, back, top) Open bag revealing internal layout Packed configuration with skis + boots + clothing Detail/close-up shots of key features and hardware (optional but helpful) Simple studio lighting is acceptable. Transparent background versions are useful where appropriate. Acceptance Criteria Dimensions match provided specs within ±5 mm. Renders clearly demonstrate how two full sets of skis are accommodated. Files open without errors in standard CAD and visualization software. Model is clean, well-organized, and suitable for vendor evaluation and quoting. Future Phases (Not Included in This Scope) Later phases may include photorealistic materials, exploded views, and an animated packing/assembly video. These are not part of the current job. Timeline & Milestones Please propose a realistic timeline (ideal: 2–3 weeks total from kickoff). We prefer a fixed-price project with staged milestones and payments, for example: Milestone 1 (~50%): Rough/blocked model or wireframe review & approval. Milestone 2 (~50%): Detailed model + static renders delivery & approval. Up to 2 rounds of reasonable revisions are included. How to Submit a Proposal To help us evaluate quickly and fairly, please include: Direct links to your portfolio, especially examples of 3D product modeling and renders for luggage, bags, outdoor/sports gear, or similar consumer products. Brief description of your workflow and primary software (SolidWorks experience is a strong plus). Proposed fixed-price quote with breakdown by milestone (if possible). Any clarifying questions. I would be happy to supply any non-proprietary information that might help you evaluate this request. Confirmation that you can work on a work-for-hire basis with full IP assignment to the client. We will review all proposals based on portfolio fit, relevant experience, and proposal clarity. Top candidates may be invited for a short discussion. Detailed drawings, dimensions, and files will be shared only after a signed NDA. The product is patent pending.
