About the project

I have an existing STL (3D) of a patented plastic utensil that now needs to live in a fully editable SolidWorks environment. Your task is to convert the file into both STEP and native SLDPRT formats while matching every single detail, contour, edge, and datum found in the original STL mesh. Once complete, the model must measure exactly 168 mm × 34 mm × 19 mm—no shrinkage, scaling, or surface deviation is acceptable, so treat this as a high-precision reverse-engineering job rather than a casual conversion. Please keep your tolerances tight enough that any deviation is visually and numerically negligible when the two files are compared (think typical “high precision” settings in SolidWorks or better, not a loose STL import). Deliverables • Fully parametric and editable SLDPRT file built in SolidWorks as well as a STEP file generated from that part. • A matching STL exported from the rebuilt solid for comparison. • Clear, high-resolution screenshots showing front, back, top, bottom, left, right, and isometric views • Final unit dimensions must be 168 mm × 34 mm × 19 mm
