Enhance 3D Cap Model in Blender
GBP 10–20
About the project
Overview I’m looking for an experienced Blender artist to make a small number of high-quality modifications to an existing 3D baseball cap model. The cap will be used as the hero element on my personal portfolio website, so the work must be optimised for real-time rendering in the browser. This is not a modelling project from scratch. The cap already exists and I will provide all source files. ⸻ Files Provided I will provide: * Original Blender (.blend) file * Original GLB model * Original purchased assets * Updated texture artwork (including the custom sticker) * Vector artwork (SVG) for the front embroidery * Reference images showing the desired final appearance ⸻ Objective Create a premium-looking custom cap that feels like a genuine manufactured product rather than a modified 3D model. The cap should look believable from every angle and retain excellent performance when exported as a GLB for use on a website. ⸻ Task 1 – Front Embroidery This is the primary task. Please add the supplied SVG artwork as realistic raised embroidery to the front of the cap. Requirements: * Follow the existing curvature of the cap naturally. * Position the embroidery correctly across the two front panels. * Ensure it sits convincingly on the fabric rather than appearing to float. * The embroidery should appear stitched into the cap. * Use an off-white thread (not bright white). * Add subtle depth and rounded edges so it catches light realistically. * Keep the embroidery relatively low profile rather than thick plastic lettering. * Preserve the existing cap geometry wherever possible. ⸻ Task 2 – Rear Branding Add the supplied rear artwork to the back of the cap. This will consist of: * small text * simple logo/mark * subtle embroidered appearance Again, this should follow the surface curvature naturally and match the quality of the front embroidery. ⸻ Task 3 – Optimisation This cap will be displayed on a React Three Fiber website. Please optimise accordingly. Requirements: * Keep polygon count as low as reasonably possible. * Avoid unnecessary subdivision. * Maintain smooth shading. * Preserve compatibility with GLB export. * Keep materials lightweight. * Ensure the model renders efficiently in a browser. ⸻ Deliverables Please provide: * Updated .blend file * Exported .glb * Any additional texture files if required * Confirmation that the model has been tested after export ⸻ Quality Expectations The result should feel comparable to a premium embroidered New Era or Yupoong cap. Specifically, I’m looking for: * believable embroidery * clean geometry * professional positioning * subtle lighting response * no clipping or floating geometry * no visible artefacts when viewed close up ⸻ Notes The custom sticker has already been completed and should remain unchanged. The overall appearance should remain clean, minimal and premium. The goal is for this to become the hero element of a design portfolio, so craftsmanship is more important than adding unnecessary detail. ⸻ Budget & Timeline This is a relatively small modification to an existing model rather than a full modelling project. Please let me know: * estimated cost * estimated turnaround * whether you have experience creating assets for WebGL / Three.js / React Three Fiber
