About the project
Jewelry CAD Modification (3DM to STL) – Quick & Precise Edits Max budget is $100 Project Overview: I have a completed, high-quality .3dm (Rhinoceros) 3D model of a two-ring bridal stack (an oval solitaire engagement ring and a shared-prong wedding band). I need a skilled jewelry CAD designer to make a few specific dimensional adjustments to this existing file. You do not need to design anything from scratch. You only need to edit the existing geometry, ensure the model is watertight for printing, and deliver the updated .3dm and high-resolution, print-ready .stl files. Required Modifications: Engagement Ring (Solitaire): Finger Size: Resize the ring to a US Size 7.0 (Inner Diameter: 17.35 mm). Band Width (Shank): Adjust the shank width to exactly 2.2 mm (to allow for polishing down to a finished 2.0 mm). Prongs (Center Stone Head): The prongs are currently modeled flush/finished. Please adjust them to be overlength casting prongs pointing straight up. They must extend 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm past the table of the 1ct oval diamond and have a minimum thickness of 1.0 mm so the stone-setter has enough metal to work with. Wedding Band (Shared-Prong): Finger Size: Resize the ring to a US Size 7.0 (Inner Diameter: 17.35 mm). Band Width (Shank): Adjust the total width of the band to exactly 2.4 mm (to allow for polishing down to a finished 2.2 mm). Diamond Layout (Melee Seats): Redesign the stone seats/Layout to perfectly accommodate 2.1 mm round brilliant melee diamonds in a scalloped, shared-prong setting. Ensure the layout is a half-eternity style, matching the sweep of the original file. Deliverables Required: Updated .3dm source file with all modifications. aprint-ready .stl files (one for each ring). The .stl files must be exported at a high resolution with completely closed, watertight meshes so they are ready for direct SLA/DLP 3D castable resin printing. Applicant Requirements: Must have proven experience in jewelry CAD design (Rhino, Matrix, or MatrixGold). Must understand shrinkage, polishing allowances, and standard bench-jeweler casting/setting requirements. Max budget is $100
