Budget-Friendly OBJ to SKP Conversion
USD 10–30
About the project
I have a single .obj file that I need brought cleanly into SketchUp as a .skp. The model represents an architectural concept, so the geometry has to hold together well at a moderate level of detail—edges crisp, faces properly oriented, and no stray artifacts that will slow me down once I start layering furniture and entourage. I’m still deciding on textures, so for now a simple color pass or default material assignment is fine; UVs and high-resolution materials are not required at this stage. The key deliverable is a SketchUp file that opens without errors, preserves scale, and is ready for further refinement. Because the project is strictly limited to a small budget, efficiency matters: if you already have a streamlined workflow—perhaps using SketchUp Pro’s built-in importer, Blender + TIG’s OBJ importer, or another reliable pipeline—that would be ideal. A quick turnaround is appreciated, and I’m happy to answer questions or supply reference screenshots if that helps ensure the conversion comes out right.
