About the project
I need a skilled mould designer to create production-ready injection moulds for plastic parts. All work must follow our established company-specific guidelines; I will share the latest design manual and sample files once we start. Scope • Translate my part models into a complete injection mould design. • Integrate gating, runners, cooling and ejector systems suitable for high-volume plastic production. • Optimise for manufacturability while maintaining part integrity and appearance. Deliverables 1. 3D CAD files of core, cavity and all inserts. 2. Fully detailed 2D drawings with tolerances, materials and surface finishes. 3. A brief DFM report highlighting shrinkage assumptions, cycle-time estimate and any risk areas. Preferred tools are SolidWorks or NX with native files, plus neutral formats (STEP/IGES) for review. If you typically run Moldflow or a similar simulation, include the results as a bonus. Timeline and milestones are flexible; let me know how many days you need for first concepts and final detailing.
