About the project

I have the original seeder-dropper part (rusted but still dimensionally reliable) and the first replacement that a shop produced from their own STEP file. Unfortunately the new piece came back with incorrect dimensions and will not mate cleanly with the surrounding assemblies. The shop has now handed me their .stp files and asked for “a few tweaks,” but I do not work in CAD. I will ship or deliver both the original and the replacement to you so you can physically inspect, measure, and compare every critical surface. I am looking for a complete dimensional review—length, width, height, hole positions, wall thickness, radii, everything—not just a quick patch. Once the discrepancies are identified, update the STEP model so it is a true one-to-one match with the original part and production-ready. Deliverables: • Corrected 3D model in STEP (and native format if different) • Dimensioned 2-D drawing suitable for machining or fabrication • Short revision log noting each change you made I work quickly with the fabricator, so clear communication, accurate measurements, and manufacturable geometry are essential. Let me know if you have the tools to capture precise measurements (CMM, 3D scanner, digital calipers, etc.) and your estimated turnaround once the parts are in hand.
