About the project

I have a single-page PDF that shows a set of mechanical components. I need each item on that page converted into its true, flattened outline so it can drop straight onto a laser cutter bed. When the geometry is ready, export it as a clean, layer-named DXF that follows standard laser-cutting conventions (closed polylines, no duplicate lines, 1:1 scale, millimetres). Once the flat patterns are done, build a full-detail 3D assembly that includes every nut, bolt, and spacer shown on the PDF. I will use this model for both visual checks and exploded-view documentation, so accuracy of mating features and overall fit is essential. Native SolidWorks or Inventor files are perfect, but STEP is fine for interchange. Deliverables • Production-ready DXF of all parts, correctly nested on separate layers for cut and etch. • Parametric 3D assembly file plus an exploded view drawing (PDF) that clearly labels every small part. • A brief note confirming material thickness assumed and any design adjustments made during conversion. The job is complete when the DXF imports into my laser software without errors and the 3D model assembles with no interferences.
