Cartoon Dance Character Animation

About the project

I have a 3D character that needs to burst into a lively, cartoon-style dance routine set to a supplied music track. The piece will be pure character animation—no product shots or architectural fly-throughs—so every second should spotlight appealing poses, exaggerated timing, and expressive facial work that fits the upbeat rhythm. Scope • Length: roughly 45–60 seconds • Style: bright, squash-and-stretch cartoon aesthetic similar to early Pixar shorts or “Fortnite” emotes • Action: continuous dancing and music performance, no dialogue What I will provide • Final rigged character in FBX • Reference track (MP3) with beat markers • Storyboard of major dance hits and camera angles What I need back • Polished animation in Maya or Blender (scene file + baked caches) • Playblast for review rounds (H.264, 720p) • Final render: 1920×1080, 24 fps, ProRes or PNG sequence • One round of refinements after first review Acceptance criteria — Dance moves stay perfectly on beat to the music — No foot sliding; clean contact and weight shifts — Facial expressions match the energy of the choreography — Final render free of clipping or geometry intersections If you have sample reels featuring cartoon dance or music-driven character work, include them so I can assess style compatibility.
