PC 3D Simulation Game Build
USD 30–250
About the project
I am starting a new 3D simulation game for PC and need a developer who can take it from “interesting idea” to a fully playable build. The project centres on classic simulation depth but with an active combat system, a robust quest framework and meaningful character progression woven throughout. Here is the scope in plain terms: • Core systems – Build the simulation loop first, then layer in real-time combat that feels punchy yet balanced for mouse-keyboard play. • Quest architecture – A modular quest system I can expand through data tables or simple JSON later. • Progression – Experience points, skill trees and unlockable perks that tie back into both the sim layer and combat. • PC-ready performance – Optimised shaders, scalable settings and clean controls (WASD + mouse). I’m happy with either Unreal Engine 5 or Unity HDRP, whichever you feel will get the best visual fidelity without sacrificing iteration speed; please outline your preference and why. Source control through Git is required and I’d like milestone builds delivered every two weeks so I can test features in-engine. Acceptance criteria 1. A desktop build that boots straight into the core gameplay loop. 2. Combat, quests and progression all functional and saving correctly. 3. Clear, commented code plus a short read-me explaining project structure and how to add new quests or skills. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, let’s discuss timelines and get started.
