3D Bespoke Fireplace Mantle Design
CAD 250–750
About the project
I have attached a reference photo of a custom fireplace mantle I’d like recreated in 3-D. The final goal is a set of high-resolution PNG renders that capture the piece from key angles, but the underlying model should be fully detailed so it could later be milled or 3-printed if needed. Key points you should know • Style: graceful, traditional lines with the kind of intricate carvings you’d find on a hand-crafted period mantle. • Material: I’m still deciding between wood, stone, or metal, so please model with neutral shaders and keep proportions true to the reference. Your professional advice on the most suitable material for carving depth and finish is welcome. • Output: crisp PNG images (2K or higher) plus the editable source file from your preferred package so I can request additional formats later if required (STL, OBJ, FBX, etc.). Deliverables 1. Detailed 3-D model faithful to the attached image, including all carvings. 2. At least three photorealistic PNG renders: front, three-quarter, and side view. 3. Native project file (e.g., Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Rhino—whatever you use) so future revisions remain possible. Acceptance criteria • Carving depth and ornamentation match the reference within 2 mm tolerance. • Overall mantle dimensions remain proportional to the photo. • Lighting and textures in the PNGs clearly communicate material options without heavy post-processing. If something in the brief is unclear, feel free to propose a quick concept sketch before moving to full modeling. I look forward to seeing your approach to bringing this mantle to life.
