Freelance 3D CAD Designer — Pharmaceutical Machinery Parts (Long-Term Potential)

About the project

About the project We design and build machinery for the pharmaceutical industry, and we're looking for a skilled 3D designer to help turn our concepts into clean, manufacturable CAD models. You'll start with one key component, and if it goes well, continue with more parts and assemblies as the machine comes together. This has strong potential to be an ongoing, long-term collaboration for the right person. It's precision work — pharma equipment has to be well-made, clean, and reliable — but you don't need a pharma background to do a great job here. We'll bring the domain knowledge; we need your design skills. What you'll do Take our concept sketches and turn them into detailed 3D models and assemblies Refine the designs with us over a few rounds until they're ready to manufacture Prepare clean part files and simple drawings for fabrication Help us visualize and test parts in a 3D simulation environment (we use NVIDIA Omniverse) What we're looking for Solid experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar) A good eye for practical, manufacturable mechanical design Comfortable starting from rough concepts and iterating Careful and detail-oriented — parts need to fit and function precisely A clear communicator who shares progress and takes feedback well Nice to have (not required) Experience designing parts for machines, automation, or medical/pharma equipment Familiarity with stainless steel, machined, or sheet-metal parts Familiarity with NVIDIA Omniverse — or interest in learning it (we're happy to support you) To apply Share a few examples of your past 3D/mechanical design work, tell us which CAD tools you use, and mention any experience with machine parts, stainless steel, or Omniverse. We'll kick off with a small, paid first component so we can both see how we work together.
