Preliminary Design Brief – Grand Palace Hotel & Spa Gym Grand Palace Hotel & Spa, Yercaud, is seeking a freelance interior designer to develop the concept and detailed design for a premium hotel fitness centre. The objective is to create a sophisticated wellness environment that complements the hotel's luxury positioning while delivering a highly functional space for guests of varying fitness levels. The design should embody understated elegance, using warm natural materials, refined lighting, and a timeless aesthetic rather than the appearance of a conventional commercial gym. The layout must prioritize user comfort, efficient circulation, safety, and operational practicality, with carefully planned zones for cardio, strength training, free weights, functional training, and stretching. The appointed designer will be expected to work with the proposed equipment schedule and produce a coordinated layout using the actual dimensions of all equipment. The final design should demonstrate thoughtful integration of finishes, lighting, mirrors, joinery, flooring, and ceiling elements to create a cohesive guest experience. The overall design quality should be comparable to the wellness facilities found in leading international luxury hotels. The final deliverables should include concept development, mood boards, space planning, material selections, detailed architectural drawings, and high-quality 3D visualisations suitable for client approval and subsequent construction documentation.
