About the project
I’m ready to add a new deck to my home and need a designer who can turn a blank patio into a cohesive outdoor living area. The exact material, layout and aesthetic are still open—wood, composite or PVC; modern, rustic or traditional—so you’re free to recommend what best fits durability, maintenance and overall curb appeal. Here’s what I’d like to walk away with: • Scaled plan view showing footprint, joist layout, beams, posts and footing locations • 3D visualisations or renderings that help me picture finishes, railings and lighting • Material and hardware list with product specs • Permit-ready construction drawings that satisfy local code (load, span and railing details) I can provide site photos, a recent survey and rough measurements. The yard slopes slightly, so your design should address elevation changes and safe stair placement. Please include samples of past deck or similar exterior projects and let me know which tools you prefer—SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Lumion, or others.
