3D Gladiator Combat Animations
hr USD 15–25
About the project
My studio is building a third-person gladiator game where every strike must feel surgically precise. Players can stab straight in, swing from either side, aim high or low, then flow into chained attacks; the engine checks the exact hit zone and reacts with blocks, parries, armor clanks, flesh impacts, or finishing blows. I need a seasoned 3D animator who can create a completely new, realistic animation library that keeps pace with this reactive combat system: • Attacks – single strikes, directional variations, and seamless combo continuations • Defensive moves – blocks, parries, weapon-to-shield contacts, evasive dodges • Reaction states – light hits, heavy hits, stagger, disarm, armor ricochet, death variants • Transitional loops – idle, ready stances, footwork, recovery frames so each action blends cleanly No reference clips exist yet, so the entire set must be key-framed or motion-captured from scratch. Consistency in style, frame rate, and naming conventions is crucial so designers can drop the clips straight into our state machine. If you thrive on choreography, understand timing for responsive melee, and can deliver polished, realistic combat moves, let’s discuss your approach and a milestone schedule for the full library.
