Ongoing Residential HVAC Design Support

About the project

I need a mechanically minded partner who can step in every week to prepare complete HVAC design packages for single-family and multi-family homes. Each assignment will be billed hourly; this is steady, week-to-week work rather than a one-off project. What I routinely hand over are architectural plans and a brief on the climate zone and building envelope. From there, you produce: • Duct layout drawings • Piping schematics • Equipment placement plans All drawings must reflect a heat-pump system and meet the Florida Energy Code R405 method (or equivalent) for residential structures. Alongside the drawings I also rely on you for accurate load calculations—sensible/latent and peak demand—using accepted methods so the design is ready for permit submittal. Your deliverables should arrive in PDF for review and DWG/DXF for my archives. I work almost exclusively in AutoCAD, so native compatibility is important. Turnaround is typically three to four business days from the moment you receive a project folder; clear communication on progress is essential so we can stay on schedule. If you have solid experience with residential HVAC, are comfortable with R405 energy modeling and Manual J-type head-load calculations, and enjoy collaborating on an hourly basis, let’s connect.
