SolidWorks Micro Skiff Design -- 3
CAD 125–250
About the project
I’m putting together a compact aluminum micro skiff and need a SolidWorks expert to transform my concept sketches into a fully detailed, build-ready model. The end result should let a fabricator jump straight to cutting and welding without guesswork. Scope: - Build a complete parametric 3D model of the hull and structure in SolidWorks, showing every aluminum frame, stringer, and plate. - Flesh out the interior: seating layout, dedicated storage lockers, and a small console with a dashboard. All hinging lids, cut-outs, and access hatches must be present so clearances are obvious. - Keep the construction in aluminum throughout; no plywood or mixed materials. Deliverables: - Native SolidWorks assembly and part files (.SLDASM / .SLDPRT) with clean feature trees. - Flattened DXF files for every sheet-metal plate, ready for CNC cutting (correct material thickness included). - A brief PDF or marked-up drawing set highlighting bend lines, weld locations, and overall dimensions. Acceptance Criteria: The model must rebuild without errors, every DXF must unfold flat at 1:1 scale, and mating of parts in the assembly must be interference-free. If you’ve designed welded aluminum boats before, please mention it and feel free to share screenshots or renders.
