About the project
I need a compact plastic storage box that keeps small items tidy, easy to grab on the go, and fully protected from water. The vision is a lightweight case molded in durable plastic, fitted with a magnetic closure that snaps shut cleanly without fiddly latches. Because I plan to toss it in backpacks and tool bags, the body and lid must seal well enough to stop splashes or rain from reaching the contents. Your task is to turn this concept into a complete, manufacture-ready design. Please develop the 3D CAD model, internal layout, and sealing strategy so the finished product stays waterproof while remaining slim and pocket-friendly. Include any gasket suggestions, magnet specs, and hinge details in the files or drawings you deliver. Once the model is finalized, supply: • Native CAD file (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) • Step/IGES export for tooling • Brief assembly notes showing magnet placement and waterproof seal path • Rendered images that illustrate the box in a closed and open state for quick reference I will review geometry, fit of the magnetic catch, and evidence of a continuous seal before approving the final set.
