High-Detail 3D Sculpture Mold
USD 250–750
About the project
I'm seeking a skilled 3D artist proficient in Blender or similar to create a high-detail mold for a silicone rubber sculpture. I’m sculpting an octopus. The suckers are little concave shapes ( think of a contact lens) with interior detail. And of course I need to make a lot of them in different sizes, so while this is for art, the part I need from you will be somewhat industrial in that the ideal solution will allow me to make batches rather than individual suckers. Like making ice. The suckers are shallow, with 32 radial segments, and a small hole in the center. Each has a small lip around the outside, and sits on a stalk of slightly smaller diameter than the lip and sucker. The segmentation is subtle. It doesn’t penetrate through the sucker, but it must be visible as a surface element. I will need the mold to be as smooth as possible so I don’t have to sand a bunch of little holes. I don’t know if the part which creates the segmentation pattern needs to be a resin rather than a filament print. Let’s discuss. In an ideal situation I’d like to have a two part mold; one for the suckers and one for the stalks, which are of a different color/material. If this is the direction we go in registration of the parts is a consideration. Requirements: - Experience in 3D modeling with Blender - Ability to create high-detail mold. Please provide examples of previous work and an estimated timeline.
