FRAMECAD / LGSF Structural Design & Detailing Specialist

About the project

We are seeking an experienced structural engineer with strong **FRAMECAD and Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF/LSF)** experience to develop the structural framing package for a small commercial development based on the architectural drawings that will be provided. The project consists of several interconnected low-rise structures, including: 1. Reception and Office Building 2. Workshop / Covered Work Area 3. Staff Facilities Building 4. Small Utility / Security Structure The structural system is to be developed using **cold-formed steel framing and the FRAMECAD system**, with the design coordinated with the architectural layouts. Scope of Work The selected engineer will be responsible for developing the complete LSF structural package, including: * Structural analysis, design and engineering calculations * Complete FRAMECAD structural model * LSF wall, floor and roof framing * Panel layouts and framing configuration * Bracing and connection detailing * Member sizing and framing schedules * Shop/fabrication drawings * Erection and installation drawings * Steel material quantity take-off * Foundation loads and reactions * Coordination of the structural framing with the architectural drawings * Editable FRAMECAD files and final PDF drawing package ### Scope Exclusions Any detached landscaping structures, external paving works and non-structural architectural elements are outside the structural LSF scope. Required Information from the Freelancer Please include the following with your proposal: * Fixed / lump-sum price * Estimated turnaround time * Design standards and codes to be adopted * Key structural assumptions * Number of revisions included * Examples of previous FRAMECAD / LSF work * FRAMECAD version/software environment to be used The architectural package will be supplied to the selected freelancer for detailed review before the structural model is developed. **Estimated LSF framing area: approximately 1,150 m²** The successful freelancer should be comfortable taking the project from architectural drawings through **structural design, FRAMECAD modeling, detailing, quantity take-off and fabrication/erection documentation**.
