About the project

I have field-collected topo shots that need to be brought into Carlson and cleaned up. Your first task is to connect the raw points into accurate linework for contours, road centerline and alignments, as well as the edges of gravel, paved areas, and existing buildings. Once that network is in place, I may also ask you to build a clean surface (TIN) from the same data so I can generate volumes and design profiles later on. Carlson is my primary platform, so please be comfortable working natively in that environment; if you also like to keep a Civil 3D workflow handy, that’s fine, but the final files must open perfectly in Carlson. Experience merging LiDAR with conventional shots would be a welcome bonus, though not essential. Deliverables I expect: • Carlson-ready DWG (and supporting CRD) with fully connected linework. • Layering and naming that follows standard Carlson field-to-finish logic. • Optional: Surface model (TIN and/or GRID) created from the topo shots—and LiDAR too, if you can integrate it cleanly. Send a brief note on similar survey drafting projects you’ve handled in Carlson, along with a timeline for turning around the initial linework file.
