About the project

I’m creating a new beverage bottle and need a purpose-built cap that screws on securely. The cap must be molded in food-grade plastic, form a leak-tight seal on a standard water-bottle neck, and feel comfortable to open and close repeatedly. Once we begin, I’ll share the exact neck dimensions, target wall thickness, and any branding marks. What I’m looking for is a clean, manufacturable design—nothing exotic, just a dependable screw-thread closure that can be produced via conventional injection-moulding. Deliverables (all files must be production-ready) • 3D CAD model in STEP (SolidWorks-compatible) • 2D drawing with full thread specification, tolerances, and draft angles • Simple rendered image for presentation and marketing use Acceptance criteria • Threads engage smoothly without cross-threading • Cap passes a basic leak test at room temperature • Draft angles compatible with a single-cavity mould unless otherwise discussed Experience designing plastic threaded closures or other consumer packaging components is strongly preferred. If you can also recommend suitable food-safe resins and advise on tooling considerations, that will add real value.
