About the project
We are seeking an experienced Autodesk Civil 3D modeler to create accurate DTM/TIN surfaces for civil construction projects. Our process involves taking engineered 2D CAD/DWG files and engineered grading plan sets and using the elevations shown on the plans to elevate the applicable 2D linework and create accurate 3D surfaces. The completed models are used by contractors in the field with GPS and automated machine-control equipment, so accuracy is critical. Requirements: Strong Autodesk Civil 3D experience Experience creating DTM/TIN surfaces Ability to read and interpret engineered grading plans Experience elevating 2D CAD linework into 3D Knowledge of feature lines, breaklines, spot elevations, contours, slopes, curbs, and roadway grading GPS/machine-control modeling experience is highly preferred Please provide examples of similar Civil 3D DTM/TIN or grading models you have completed and indicate whether your models have been used for GPS/machine-control applications. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a technical test using a CAD/DWG file and corresponding engineered plan set.
