About the project

I’m looking for someone who has strong practical knowledge of Autodesk Fusion 360 and can independently create short, highly engaging Fusion 360 tutorial videos. This is NOT just a video-editing job. You need to understand Fusion 360 well enough to find situations where people are doing something in a long, repetitive, or inefficient way, and then demonstrate a much faster/smarter way of achieving the same result. IMPORTANT — WATCH THESE VIDEOS BEFORE BIDDING These videos show the type of content, pacing, hook, and overall concept I am looking for: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI74mBTJ6l9/?igsi=d2VmaTBvY3p4aWZh https://www.instagram.com/reel/DIK4K1qJeGa/?igsi=MWtkaDR4bjZtOHAy https://www.instagram.com/reel/DV_rCi4ky8Z/?igsi=MXRvb3NxM255Z2FwbA== https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVEQr1OiVdi/?igsi=MXg1Z2E0cXE4YzIzYw== https://www.instagram.com/reel/DShy78_ie3o/?igsi=MTl0ZHBhMXMxdDVwMQ== Please go through all of these videos properly before bidding on this project. If you haven’t watched and understood the reference videos, please do not bid. ⸻ Main Video Concept The videos should generally follow this format: 1. Show the LONG / TIME-WASTING Method Start by showing someone doing a Fusion 360 task in an unnecessarily long way. For example: “Are you still wasting your time doing this?” or “Stop doing this in Fusion 360…” Briefly show the longer process — multiple sketches, repetitive operations, unnecessary measurements, manually copying features, etc. 2. Show the SMART Method Then transition into: “When you can simply do this…” Show the faster Fusion 360 tool, shortcut, workflow, feature, or modelling technique. The difference should be obvious enough that viewers immediately understand why the second method is better. The viewer should finish the Reel thinking: “I didn’t know Fusion could do that.” ⸻ Prefer Practical, 3D-Printable Models Whenever possible, I would strongly prefer these tutorials to use practical models or actual useful objects, rather than completely random demonstration geometry. For example, if the tutorial is teaching a modelling technique, use that technique to create something such as: * A bracket * Phone stand * Clip * Hinge * Holder * Enclosure * Mount * Mechanical part * Storage accessory * Desk accessory * Tool * Snap-fit part * Functional 3D-printable object The exact object can vary significantly. The important thing is that the CAD tutorial should ideally result in something real and useful that can actually be 3D printed. This gives us another opportunity at the end of the video. After showing the faster Fusion 360 workflow, I can 3D print the finished model and show the physical result in the Reel. For example: Long modelling method → Smart modelling method → Finished CAD model → Actual 3D-printed part That would make the content much more satisfying and visually interesting than tutorials that end only on the computer screen. So when choosing tutorial ideas, please think about both: “Is this a useful Fusion 360 trick?” and “Can this technique create something interesting that we can actually 3D print and show at the end?” Not every tutorial absolutely needs a printed object, but practical and printable concepts will be strongly preferred. ⸻ Example Content Ideas These could include: * 10 steps vs. 2 steps * Manually modelling something vs. using a Fusion feature * Repeating features manually vs. using Pattern * Complicated sketches vs. smarter constraints * Better parametric modelling techniques * Faster ways of modifying existing designs * Better use of components and assemblies * Smart use of construction geometry * Parameters instead of manually changing dimensions * Lesser-known Fusion 360 tools * Designing specifically for 3D printing * Designing functional snap-fits, clips, hinges, threads, mounts, etc. * Design-for-manufacturing shortcuts * Faster ways of creating commonly used geometry * Features beginners often recreate manually * “Don’t model it like this — do this instead” These are examples only. You will be expected to independently research and come up with these ideas. I am not a Fusion 360 expert myself, so I do NOT want a freelancer who waits for me to provide every tutorial idea. A major part of your job is discovering interesting: “Long way vs. smart way” Fusion 360 techniques. ⸻ AI + Fusion 360 Content I also want 5 videos specifically related to using AI in 3D modelling and Fusion 360 workflows. These should explore practical ways AI can improve or speed up the design process. Possible topics include: * AI-assisted 3D modelling * AI for design optimisation * AI-assisted concept development * AI helping improve an existing design * Generative/design optimisation workflows * Using AI to solve modelling problems * Converting ideas or references into CAD concepts * AI-assisted design-for-manufacturing * AI + Fusion 360 workflows that actually save time These should not just be generic: “AI is the future.” videos. They need to demonstrate something practical, visual and genuinely useful. Ideally, some AI videos should also end with a real printable design, so we can take the AI-assisted/optimised model, 3D print it and show the physical result. For these AI videos, I also want a small amount of clean on-screen caption/text explaining what the AI is doing and why it is useful. ⸻ Video Requirements Each video should generally be around: 30–40 seconds Every completed video must be delivered in BOTH: * 9:16 vertical format — Instagram Reels / TikTok / YouTube Shorts * 16:9 horizontal format — YouTube and other platforms The Fusion 360 interface, model, cursor, dimensions and important buttons must remain properly visible in both versions. Simply badly cropping a horizontal recording into vertical format is not acceptable. ⸻ Editing Style I want the content to be: * Fast-paced * Clean * Satisfying to watch * Easy for beginners to understand * Useful * Straight to the point * Minimal unnecessary talking * Visually engaging * Properly zoomed into important Fusion 360 controls * Captioned where necessary * Focused on ONE useful lesson/trick per Reel The tutorial itself and the quality of the idea are more important than fancy editing. ⸻ Your Responsibilities You will be responsible for: 1. Finding good Fusion 360 tutorial ideas. 2. Researching smarter/faster modelling techniques. 3. Prioritising practical and 3D-printable models wherever possible. 4. Making sure the technique actually works. 5. Creating the example CAD model/design. 6. Recording Fusion 360 properly. 7. Showing both the long method and smarter method. 8. Editing it into an engaging 30–40 second Reel. 9. Adding captions/text/zooms where required. 10. Delivering 9:16 and 16:9 versions. 11. Finding new ideas continuously without repeating the same basic tricks. 12. Creating 5 AI + 3D modelling/Fusion 360 focused videos. 13. Where appropriate, preparing the finished model so that it can actually be 3D printed and shown physically at the end of the content. ⸻ Who I Am Looking For The ideal freelancer is someone who watches another person modelling and immediately thinks: “Why are they doing all of that? Fusion has a much easier way.” And then also thinks: “How can I demonstrate this using an actual useful model that could be 3D printed?” That is exactly the mindset required for this project. I prefer someone who has real Fusion 360/CAD experience, not someone who simply knows Premiere Pro/CapCut and plans to copy tutorials from YouTube. ⸻ When You Bid Please include: * Your Fusion 360 experience * Examples of CAD/Fusion 360 work * Examples of short-form content/tutorial videos if available * Your price per completed video * Your price for an ongoing batch of videos Most importantly: Watch all 5 reference Reels before submitting your bid. Then include: * 3 Fusion 360 Reel ideas following the “You’re wasting time doing it this way → do this instead” format. * At least 1 of those ideas should result in a practical 3D-printable object. * 1 additional idea involving AI + Fusion 360 / 3D modelling. This will help me determine whether you actually understood the project rather than sending a generic Freelancer proposal. If the quality is good, this can become long-term ongoing work with a large number of videos.
