Classical Plaster Sculpture
USD 750–1500
About the project
I’m looking to fabricate three life-size Greco-Roman-style busts, each featuring a different face and hairstyle, with delivery to Santa Monica, CA 90405 by September 10. We do not have a 3D file to work from. Attaching a photo for style reference. Each bust should include the head, neck, shoulders, and upper chest, similar to a traditional museum sculpture. Approximate dimensions per bust: Height: 17 in (43.2 cm) Width: 16 in (40.6 cm) Depth: 9 in (22.9 cm) The three busts should feel like they belong to the same collection but depict three distinct Greco-Roman figures, with noticeably different facial features and hairstyles. The pieces can be 3D printed using whatever material/process you recommend, but we’d like them professionally finished to look and feel as close as possible to traditional white stone/plaster casts, rather than visibly 3D printed or plastic. Ideally, the finish would be smooth, matte, and slightly natural in texture. We’d still like to preserve the sculptural detail in the faces and hair. The busts will be used to display physical eyeglasses, so each needs fully defined, accessible ears that glasses with thick arms (roughly .5in wide) can rest on naturally. The hair directly above and around the ears should be short/flat and clear of the ears, allowing the temple arms of the glasses to sit correctly.
