Freelancer.com Project Title Custom Wall-Mount Enclosure Design for Arduino UNO Q 4GB I am looking for an experienced mechanical/CAD designer to create a production-ready custom electronics enclosure for a commercial monitoring product called the PeafowlPro Hub. The initial Hub will be built around an Arduino UNO Q 4GB and will not include a display or additional internal expansion boards. The goal is a compact, clean, professional enclosure suitable initially for FDM 3D printing, while keeping the design practical for future manufacturing. Design Requirements The enclosure should be a white, two-piece design consisting of a front/top cover and rear/base housing. A snap-fit assembly is preferred, although the designer may recommend a better serviceable fastening method if necessary. The enclosure must be designed around the official Arduino UNO Q manufacturer CAD/STEP model, not estimated board geometry. The UNO Q PCB dimensions are approximately 68.85 mm × 53.34 mm. Required features include: * Internal standoffs aligned precisely with the UNO Q mounting holes * Appropriate clearance for all components and headers on the UNO Q * USB-C access through one side of the enclosure * Small power/status LED opening on the front, lower-right corner * External antenna opening on the top surface * Small ventilation slots on the left and right sides * Wall-mounting capability on the rear/back side * Rear keyhole-style mounting slots or another secure wall-mount solution * Rounded external corners and clean industrial styling * Adequate PCB and connector clearance * Reasonable airflow without excessive openings * No display opening * No RS-485 connectors or additional electronics in this initial version Approximate Starting Envelope The conceptual design currently uses an enclosure of roughly: 110 mm W × 85 mm H × 38 mm D These dimensions are not mandatory. The final enclosure dimensions should be derived from the official UNO Q geometry, required clearances, standoffs, antenna connection, USB-C accessibility, wall thickness, and manufacturability. A wall thickness around 2.5 mm is currently envisioned for the prototype. Important Orientation When the Hub is mounted vertically on a wall: * Front: PeafowlPro logo and power LED * Back: wall-mounting features * Top: external antenna opening * Bottom: generally clear * Left/Right sides: USB-C access and ventilation as appropriate Correct orientation is important because several early concept illustrations confused the top and front surfaces. CAD / Engineering Expectations The designer should: * Import and use the official Arduino UNO Q STEP model * Position mounting standoffs from the actual PCB mounting-hole geometry * Check for interference with all board components * Provide appropriate USB-C connector clearance * Account for tolerances required for FDM printing * Design robust snap features if using snap-fit construction * Add fillets/reinforcement around standoffs and wall-mount areas * Ensure the enclosure can realistically be assembled and serviced * Avoid unnecessarily complicated geometry that increases print time or manufacturing cost The attached image is a conceptual design reference only and should not be treated as an authoritative engineering drawing. Required Deliverables I would like the finished project to include: 1. Editable/native CAD source files — Autodesk Fusion preferred 2. STEP file of the complete enclosure 3. Separate STEP files for each enclosure component 4. STL files ready for 3D printing 5. Fully assembled CAD model containing the Arduino UNO Q 6. Exploded assembly view 7. Dimensioned technical drawing 8. Front, back, top, bottom, left, and right orthographic views 9. Internal view showing PCB standoffs and mounting 10. Basic recommendations for print orientation, tolerances, and assembly The design should remain parametric/editable wherever practical, so dimensions can be revised after prototype testing. Intended Product The PeafowlPro Hub is a wall-mounted environmental monitoring controller intended for peafowl breeders, aviaries, brooders, barns, and similar environments. It will use the UNO Q’s Wi-Fi capability to communicate wirelessly with separate PeafowlPro sensor modules. I am looking for someone who has experience designing electronics enclosures, SBC/PCB mounting systems, snap-fit plastic parts, and FDM-printable products. Experience taking prototypes toward injection molding or commercial manufacturing would be a plus. Please include examples of previous electronics-enclosure or PCB-housing work in your proposal.
