About the project

I need a production-ready 3D model for the custom body of a drone frame. The end product will be manufactured in carbon fiber, so wall thicknesses, ribbing, and joint transitions must be optimised for that material’s strength-to-weight characteristics and lay-up constraints. You will start from a loose concept (sketches and component dimensions I’ll supply) and evolve it into a refined CAD assembly with motor mounts, battery bay, and integrated channels for wiring. Weight reduction without compromising torsional stiffness is critical, and every bracket or opening should be shaped with airflow and manufacturability in mind. Because the schedule is tight—delivery needed ASAP—I’m looking for someone who can iterate quickly, share STEP/IGES previews for feedback, and incorporate changes in real time. Deliverables • Parametric 3D CAD files (STEP or native SolidWorks/Fusion 360) • STL files suitable for rapid prototyping and carbon-fiber mold tooling • 2-D drawings with key dimensions and tolerances • Short design note explaining material thickness choices and stress-bearing features I can jump on a call at project kick-off to clarify component placement, target weight, and any tooling limits you need to respect. If you have past work with UAVs, composites, or topology optimisation, please mention it—the closer your experience to lightweight carbon-fiber structures, the smoother this project will run. Looking forward to collaborating and getting this frame flying soon.
