9-Hole Golf Course Design in GSPro
USD 250–750
About the project
GSPro Course Designer — 9-Hole Local Course Build Project Overview I'm looking for a skilled individual to build a custom, lidar-based 9-hole golf course for play in GSPro (Golf Simulator Software). The course is a real local 9-hole layout, and the goal is a high-quality, playable recreation that meets community publishing standards. This is a substantial project that will require patience and attention to detail — you'll be working through each hole individually — but the 9-hole scope keeps it manageable. If you have solid software/development or 3D design skills, the OPCD workflow has a learning curve but is well documented and heavily supported by the community. About GSPro GSPro is a leading golf simulation platform built on the Unity engine, known for realistic ball physics and stunning 4K graphics. The platform supports over 2,500 user-created courses, all built using the Open Platform Course Designer (OPCD) toolset. You can learn more at gsprogolf.com. Required Tools & Skills The standard OPCD workflow involves the following software stack (most of which is free): QGIS — for gathering and aligning geographic/lidar terrain data Inkscape — for tracing the 2D course layout and splining holes Blender — for 3D terrain modeling, conforming meshes, bunkers, and water features Unity — for physics, texturing, rendering, and final environment assembly OPCD Toolset — specialized Blender add-ons and Unity plugins that format everything specifically for GSPro Greenskeeper — the official GSPro utility for configuring gameplay physics, tee boxes, pin placements, and hazards Familiarity with any of the above is a strong plus. The OPCD community offers extensive YouTube tutorials, written documentation, and an active Discord for support. What You'll Be Doing Source and process lidar/terrain data for the course location Spline the 9-hole layout in Inkscape Model terrain, bunkers, greens, and water in Blender using OPCD tools Assemble and texture the course in Unity Configure gameplay elements (tees, pins, hazards, OOB, scorecard) in Greenskeeper Optimize for performance and visual quality Prepare the course for beta testing and community submission Compensation Compensation will be based on estimated time to complete the project. I'm happy to discuss a flat project rate or milestone-based payments once we review the scope together.
