3D Tail Light Cover Model
INR 600–1500
About the project
I want to have a replacement cover for my vehicle’s tail light professionally modeled so I can print it on my own 3-D printer. The final deliverable must be an OBJ file that is completely watertight and print-ready. I already sketched the cover’s profile and key styling lines, but I do not have precise measurements yet. I will share photos and the hand drawing, and I’ll need you to guide me through capturing the critical dimensions and mounting points—caliper tricks, reference photos, anything that helps us nail the fit first time. Once you have those numbers, you’ll translate them into an accurate 3-D surface, add proper wall thickness for FDM printing, and include any clips or screw holes the original piece uses. Tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Blender are fine as long as the exported OBJ adheres to standard 3-D-printing conventions (manifold geometry, no reversed normals, real-world scale in millimetres). Deliverables • One OBJ file ready for slicing • A couple of rendered screenshots to confirm shape and mounting details • If small tweaks are needed after a test print, one revision is included Acceptance criteria: the model must seat flush on the lamp housing, all fastener locations align, and the cover prints without mesh errors. Looking forward to collaborating and getting this part back on the road.
