Engine Coil Cover 3D Design
USD 30–250
About the project
I already have a dimensioned TrueView file of a cardboard mock-up for the left-hand engine coil cover, along with a photo that captures the exact curvature the surface must follow. Your task is to translate that reference into a clean digital model, then mirror it to create the right-hand version. The RH part also needs a simple circular cut-out for the oil fill, exactly where the TrueView shows it. Please work through the geometry step by step so I can review each stage before you lock anything down. I prefer to receive both covers as print-ready 3D files—STL or a comparable neutral format is fine—plus a PDF of each model so I can open and inspect dimensions on my end. If you spot small improvements (mounting details, wall thickness tweaks, etc.) feel free to propose them; I’m open to sensible refinements as long as the exterior profile and overall footprint remain true to the supplied references. Deliverables: • LH and RH coil cover 3D models in a print-ready format (STL/STEP) • Companion PDFs for quick dimensional review • A short note summarising any modifications made beyond the original mock-up SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or comparable professional software is acceptable—use whatever lets you give me accurate, watertight surfaces that will print cleanly the first time. I’ll give prompt feedback at each milestone so we stay perfectly aligned through to sign-off.
