3D Scan & Resin Statue - 12/09/2026 19:38 EDT
USD 250–750
About the project
The original piece is a 15" × 8" brass horse head nuzzling a foal. I need an accurate, high-resolution 3D scan so the form can be reproduced in resin for a cemetery monument. Here’s what I expect: • A clean, watertight digital model (STL or OBJ) that captures every contour of the existing brass sculpture. • One full-scale resin reproduction, suitable for permanent outdoor display—UV-stable and ready for paint or protective clear coat. You can work on-site to capture the scan or guide me through shipping the piece to you, whichever is more practical. Please outline your scanning method (structured light, laser, photogrammetry, etc.), how you handle surface cleanup and detail preservation, and what type of resin and finishing process you recommend for long-term durability in a cemetery setting. Shipping or installation coordination can be discussed once the casting is complete. If this timeline and scope are feasible for you, share examples of similar scan-to-cast projects and let me know your estimated turnaround from receipt of the original to delivery of the finished resin piece.
