About the project

About the job We need a library of clean, well-shaped 3D insole models in a range of sizes. The files will be used as base templates in an automated software pipeline. They must be tidy, consistent across sizes, and marked with key foot reference points. We'll start with a paid pilot (one style, 3 sizes). If that goes well, the same freelancer continues with the full library. What you'll create ? Pilot (Milestone 1) One full-length everyday insole design: realistic foot-shaped outline, moderate arch support, heel cup, edges that thin out to the border Graded into 3 sizes: 240, 260 and 280 mm length Left and right versions of each size Full library (Milestones 2–3, after pilot approval) The base style graded to 9 sizes: 220–300 mm in 10 mm steps (about EU 35–47), left and right 4 more styles based on the base design: Sport: deeper heel cup, higher sidewalls Slim dress: ¾ length, low profile Boot: higher volume Extra-cushioned: thicker, fuller contact File requirements (every model) STL, in mm, one solid closed body with no holes, overlaps or loose pieces Flat bottom sitting on the XY plane (z = 0) Fixed orientation: heel at x = 0, toe toward +x, top surface facing +z Consistent triangle density (roughly 20k–60k vertices) Native source files as well (Rhino, Grasshopper, Fusion 360, SolidWorks or similar), ideally a parametric model so sizes can be regenerated Annotations (every model) We'll give you a simple spreadsheet or JSON template to fill in with x, y, z coordinates: Points: heel centre, 1st and 5th metatarsal heads, arch apex, navicular point, lateral arch point, big-toe tip, little-toe tip Lines (as point lists): heel-cup rim, inner and outer sidewall top edges, forefoot trim line Zones (as outlines): heel pad, arch, metatarsal area, toes You don't need medical knowledge. A short reference sheet shows where each point goes. Skills we're looking for Strong freeform surfacing (Rhino, Fusion 360, SolidWorks or similar) Experience with footwear, insoles, lasts or other body-fitting products (strongly preferred) Size grading and parametric modelling Clean, printable meshes (3D-printing experience a plus) Timeline and budget Pilot: about 25–30 hours, done within 2 weeks Full library: about 90–110 more hours, over about 4-5 weeks Hourly or fixed price per milestone. Please quote both phases. To apply, please include 2–3 examples of footwear, insole or other ergonomic surface work The software you'd use, and whether you'd build it parametrically Your estimate and price for the pilot One sentence on how you'd grade one design across 9 sizes and keep it consistent All designs and source files become our property. An NDA is required before starting.
