About the project
I need complete structural design and planning as well as a full set of analysis calculations for a smart shelter that will be installed as public infrastructure. The shelter’s footprint is modest, yet the structure must resist wind uplift, support integrated digital displays and solar panels, and comply with the local building code and any relevant transit‐agency guidelines. Scope • Translate the intended architectural concept into a buildable structural scheme, choosing economical steel, aluminium or composite members where appropriate. • Perform detailed structural analysis, including load combinations for wind, live, snow (if applicable) and the weight of mounted equipment. • Optimise member sizes, connection details and foundation pads or bolts so the shelter can be prefabricated and installed rapidly on-site. Deliverables 1. Signed calculation package (PDF) with clear assumptions and code references. 2. Fully detailed structural drawings in both PDF and original CAD format (DWG/DXF or Revit). 3. 3D model showing member labelling and connection call-outs for coordination with fabricators. 4. Short design memo summarising materials, design loads and maintenance considerations. Acceptance criteria: drawings pass local permit review on first submission and calculated deflections stay within serviceability limits under unfactored loads. Preferred tools: SAP2000, STAAD, ETABS or an equivalent finite-element package for analysis, and AutoCAD or Revit for drafting. If another tool is your standard workflow, just confirm that files can be exported to DWG for the city engineer. Schedule is flexible but I would like a first concept within two weeks and a stamped final set shortly after any review comments.
