Objective Develop a new, scalable platform that enables organisations to create and deliver interactive, animation-based assessments. Candidates should be able to interact with animated or 3D scenarios, make decisions, complete tasks, and be evaluated through configurable assessment rules. Project Objectives Build a new interactive simulation-based examination platform. Allow administrators to create and manage interactive assessment scenarios. Enable candidates to interact with animated or 3D environments. Support scenario-based questions, actions, and outcomes. Record candidate interactions and assessment results. Provide configurable scoring and reporting. Build a flexible architecture that supports different industries and assessment types. Ensure the system is maintainable and expandable in the future. Training and practical skills evaluation. The platform should be developed flexibly enough to support additional industries in the future. Core Platform Requirements 1. User Management & Authentication Administrator accounts. Organisation / client accounts. Candidate accounts. Role-based access control. Secure login and authentication. Candidate assessment history. 2. Organisation & Client Management Create and manage organisations. Assign administrators to organisations. Manage candidates and assessment access. Separate organisation data securely. View organisation-level results and reports. 3. Assessment Management Administrators should be able to: Create and manage assessments. Create Candidate logins Create Company login - This will be used by the third party clients Create scenario-based examinations. Set assessment duration and availability. Assign assessments to candidates or groups. Configure pass marks and assessment rules. Manage assessment versions. Review candidate attempts and results. 4. Interactive Animation / 3D Simulation Engine This is the primary component of the project. The platform must support interactive scenarios where candidates can: Enter an animated or 3D environment. Move around or navigate the scenario, where applicable. Interact with objects and environmental elements. Inspect equipment or objects. Identify hazards or issues. Select actions and make decisions. Trigger scenario events. Experience different outcomes based on their decisions. The simulation engine should be designed as a modular component that can support multiple scenarios and environments. The developer should recommend a suitable technology, based on the proposed requirements and deployment platform. 5. Scenario Authoring / Administration We want to avoid hard-coding every examination scenario into the application. The system should ideally support an administration interface for: Creating scenarios. Defining interactive objects. Configuring actions and responses. Defining correct and incorrect decisions. Setting scoring criteria. Configuring scenario sequences. Managing and reusing scenario assets. The developer should clearly identify which authoring features are included in the initial MVP and which should be delivered in later phases. 6. Assessment & Scoring The platform should support: Audio and Video enabling feature to complete the exam Multiple-choice questions. Interactive scenario-based decisions. Performance-based scoring. Correct and incorrect action tracking. Configurable scoring rules. Assessment attempts and history. The scoring system must be designed so that assessment rules can be configured and reviewed by authorised administrators. 7. Candidate Portal Candidates should be able to: Log in securely. View assigned assessments. Access available simulations. Complete interactive scenarios. Receive instructions and assessment guidance. Submit or complete assessments. View results, depending on organisation permissions. 8. Reporting & Analytics The platform should provide: Candidate results. Assessment scores. Pass/fail reporting to clients and admin Attempt history. Assessment completion status. Organisation-level reports. Exportable reports, where applicable.
