About the project

My team is finalising a complete automotive body and the immediate task is to generate production-ready 2D drawings directly in Creo 8, then check them into our Windchill vault. All source files, 3D geometry and drafting standards are already prepared; what I need is disciplined drawing creation, clear detailing and smooth Windchill handling. Scope • Full body coverage — exterior panels, structural members, weld points, mounting brackets and any ancillary features that appear in the native models. • Drawings must satisfy our automotive dimensioning, GD&T and title-block conventions. • Windchill will be the single source of truth, so every drawing must be uploaded, correctly numbered and released through the standard lifecycle states. Workflow 1. Receive the latest Creo 8 models and company templates. 2. Produce the corresponding .drw files, complete with BOM balloons and callouts. 3. Generate PDF plots for quick reviews. 4. Check the drawings into Windchill; resolve any integrity or naming warnings before moving to the next revision. 5. Implement mark-ups returned through Windchill until final approval. Deliverables • Native Creo 8 .drw files for every component and assembly in the body set • Associated PDFs • All items properly released in Windchill with clean check-in history Acceptance Criteria • No Windchill validation errors • Compliance with supplied drafting standard (tolerance scheme, view layout, note formatting) • PDF and .drw match one-to-one on revision and metadata Owning a valid Creo 8 licence and proven experience with Windchill are essential for this collaboration.
