Design Small Plastic Recycling Machine

About the project

I am looking for an experienced mechanical engineer/machine designer or small-scale recycling equipment manufacturer to design, build, test, and deliver a complete working plastic recycling machine for converting household plastic waste into useful products. The machine should be a compact bench-top or small floor-standing unit suitable for a workshop and capable of processing approximately 5–10 kg of plastic waste per day. Machine Requirements The machine should be capable of: Plastic shredding/crushing Process common household plastic containers and polythene/plastic bags. Compact shredder/crusher with appropriate motor and safety protection. Easy cleaning and maintenance. Heating and plasticizing Controlled heating system suitable for the selected plastic materials. Temperature monitoring and regulation. Protection against overheating and material degradation. The design should account for different plastic types rather than assuming all household plastics can be safely mixed together. Molding Produce plastic cups and flower pots initially. Interchangeable molds with a quick and simple change-over mechanism. Molds should be reusable and reasonably easy to manufacture/replace. The process should aim for consistent product dimensions and quality. Control & Safety Temperature controller/display. Motor control. Emergency stop. Electrical and thermal safety interlocks. Proper guarding around moving/heated components. Suitable electrical components for workshop use. Expected Deliverables I am looking for the complete physical machine, not only CAD/design files. The supplier should provide: Fully assembled working machine Shredder/crusher Heating/plasticizing system Molding mechanism Cup mold Flower-pot mold Control panel Motors, heaters, sensors and electrical components Safety guards and emergency-stop system User/operating instructions Maintenance instructions Electrical/control documentation CAD drawings and BOM if available Testing of the machine before delivery Guidance on suitable plastic types and operating temperatures Acceptance Criteria The machine should: Process approximately 5–10 kg/day under normal workshop operation. Successfully convert suitable sorted household plastic waste into molded products. Produce usable cups and flower pots with repeatable results. Allow reasonably quick mold changes. Have controlled heating and adequate safety protection. Be compact enough for a small workshop. Be practical to operate and maintain using readily available components. Important: I am interested in a working prototype/machine that is physically manufactured and delivered, rather than receiving design files only.
