2-Minute 3D Evacuation Animation
NZD 500–1100
About the project
3D Animator Required – Containerised Emergency Aircraft Deployment System I have a fully modelled container-based emergency aircraft evacuation system in SolidWorks, for which a patent application has been filed. I require a concise approximately two-minute 3D animation explaining how the system operates. The objective is clarity rather than photorealism. The animation should make the deployment principle immediately understandable without showing every mechanical detail. The sequence will begin with the externally closed Operational Container, establish the aircraft stored within it, and then demonstrate the major stages of passenger access, system deployment, aircraft preparation and launch. First-person or passenger-perspective views should be used selectively where they help explain what the occupant experiences. A human figure should be included where appropriate to establish scale and demonstrate passenger interaction with the system. I will supply the relevant SolidWorks models together with reference material and a storyboard identifying the required sequence. The animator may work in Blender, Maya, 3ds Max or another suitable professional 3D package. Visual style: clean, technically credible and easy to understand. Clay/simple-material rendering with restrained lighting is acceptable. Highly detailed textures and cinematic effects are not required.Dynamic sequences: The animation must extend beyond the mechanical deployment of the system and clearly convey the aircraft operating in flight. Important animated effects/actions will include the launch steam discharge/blast, rapid aircraft acceleration along the Launch Ramp, visibly rotating propeller(s), aircraft departure and sustained flight, followed by the in-flight Passenger Module (PM) extraction sequence, parachute deployment and inflation, and controlled PM descent toward the landing area. Simple environmental elements such as terrain, sky, occasional clouds and limited wildlife may be used to establish speed, altitude and movement. These effects should remain technically credible and visually clear rather than cinematic or exaggerated. Deliverables: rough animatic for sequence/camera approval before final rendering; final animation approximately 120 seconds (±10 seconds), minimum 1920×1080 MP4; editable source project files; and all texture/material assets required to reopen the project. The quoted price should include the required animation/simulation of steam, rotating propellers, parachute deployment/inflation and the principal in-flight effects—not merely movement of the supplied CAD components. Important: This project contains confidential and patent-related technical material. Additional detailed CAD and reference material will only be supplied to the selected contractor under an appropriate confidentiality/NDA arrangement. Potential ongoing work: This initial animation is intended to be the first stage of a larger visualisation programme. For the right animator, there is potential for substantial follow-on work involving additional sequences, alternative system configurations, technical animations, promotional material and future design developments. I would prefer to establish an ongoing working relationship with an animator who becomes familiar with the project and its CAD models. If you’ve produced similar product or conceptual deployment videos, a quick link or reel will help me gauge fit. I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right animator.
