About the project

I already have the STL file for my scan-body and now need a matching attachment that will hold a small cross-hair diode laser (likely 10–15 mm in diameter) together with its battery. Your task is to create a printable STL for this laser box/adapter so it locks securely onto the existing scan-body and keeps the laser perfectly aligned. Because I’m still nailing down the exact diode size, I’ll rely on your guidance to fine-tune internal clearances, wall thickness, fasteners or clips, heat-venting, and any access points for wiring or a power switch. The finished model must be optimised for 3D-printed production—something that can be sent straight to an FDM or SLA printer without extra clean-up. Deliverable: • Final, watertight STL (and source file if you model in Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar) ready for printing. Once we review test prints and confirm the fit on the scan-body, the job is done. If you have suggestions on battery placement, balance, or cable routing, include them during the design phase so we can get everything right before sign-off.
