Resin-Printable Zeta Halo Inspired Terrain Master
AUD 30–250
About the project
Create a continuous, resin-printable terrain master inspired by Zeta Halo from *Halo Infinite*, approximately 200 × 600 mm, for personal miniature basing. The sheet will serve as a source from which I can digitally cut circular and oval sections, ranging from 25–60 mm infantry bases to larger vehicle bases around 170 × 109 mm, then adjust their thickness, taper their sides or use them as toppers. The terrain should depict ancient manufactured Forerunner infrastructure partially reclaimed by nature, with approximately 40–45% exposed hexagonal surfaces, 30–35% earth or mud and 20–25% low vegetation. These materials should overlap organically throughout the sheet, providing varied, convincing compositions within small sampling areas while retaining broader, relatively level spaces for large models. Seamless tiling is unnecessary. The defining requirement is that every intact hexagonal pillar uses the same nominal 10 mm across-flats footprint and rotational orientation: corresponding flat sides must remain parallel across all clusters. Heights, burial, weathering and small geometric indents may vary, and soil-separated clusters may shift position, but intact modules must never be randomly scaled or rotated. Keep the overall terrain shallow rather than allowing successive steps to form hills; proposed targets are a 3 mm height band for ordinary ground and a 6 mm total band including occasional raised hex surfaces. Blend exposed tops with sediment, shallow erosion, embedded stones and fine, solid turf or moss texture, avoiding fragile grass blades, fibres and excessive surface clutter. Distribute robust broken slabs or other Forerunner fragments roughly 100 mm apart, generally rising 5–20 mm above nearby ground, while leaving ample room to cut around them and position flat-footed miniatures, models with supplied tactical rocks and vehicles. Deliver an editable Blender file with clearly organised terrain components and a fused, watertight, manifold STL at 1:1 millimetre scale. The master should have a flat underside and an adjustable solid backing, with approximately 5 mm beneath the lowest relief as a working allowance rather than a fixed finished-base thickness. Include agreed sample-cut STLs, an editable example demonstrating tapered base sides, and brief instructions for cutting, trimming, mirroring and exporting sections. Use the supplied game images for environmental character, the generated concepts for composition and restrained hex detailing, and the reference STLs for gravel, rocks and mud; the written dimensions take priority over the images. Work through blockout, terrain development and print-validation reviews, with a representative sample that I will resin-print to confirm detail and durability before final approval. The commission is for the terrain master and validation samples, not miniature models, large structures or a finished catalogue of individual bases.
