Plastic Mechanical Part Recreation
INR 1500–12500
About the project
I need an existing mechanical part reproduced so it can be manufactured again, this time in plastic. The original component is on hand for reference; I will provide dimensions, photos, and any measurements you need as soon as we start. Accuracy is important—I want the new version to match the original fit and function while taking advantage of the lighter plastic material. What I’m expecting from you: • A clean 3D CAD model of the part in a common format (STEP or IGES preferred). • A drawing set with critical dimensions and tolerances called out so a machinist or injection-molding shop can work from it. • A short note on any design adjustments you think are advisable when switching from metal to plastic (wall thickness, draft angles, stress-points, etc.). Once I review and approve the model, that will close the job. If questions come up during modeling, just ask—quick communication is no problem.
