Detailed Resin Landfill 3D Model
CAD 200–5000
About the project
I have a full set of drone-survey images and point-cloud data for an active landfill and need it transformed into a physical showpiece. The goal is a large-format (anything over 30 cm on its longest edge but larger would be better) resin (or plastic) print that captures every berm, cell, and road exactly as they appear in the survey, complete with textured facings so stakeholders can appreciate gradient changes and engineered layers at a glance. Here’s how I see the workflow: you process the aerial imagery with photogrammetry software—RealityCapture, Agisoft Metashape or similar—to generate a watertight, high-resolution mesh. Once the mesh is cleaned, you’ll apply full-color textures or, if multi-material isn’t feasible, prepare the geometry so surface features still read clearly after painting. The file then needs to be split and keyed for large-scale resin printing, include precise tolerances for assembly, and be exported in a print-ready format (STL/OBJ). Deliverables I expect • Optimized and texture-mapped 3D file ready for slicing • Any support or assembly files required for a 30 cm+ resin print • The finished, post-processed resin model safely packaged and shipped to me Acceptance criteria – Topographic accuracy must match the survey within ±1 mm at model scale – No print artifacts, warping, or misalignments after assembly – Surface details remain crisp once primer is applied If you have experience translating drone data into presentation-grade resin prints and can handle both the digital prep and the actual printing, let’s talk timing and shipping logistics. Additionally, I am looking for the largest possible model size that is reasonable to produce within these constraints. Budget flexibility will depend on achieving this goal.
