License 3-Axis CNC Part Archives
USD 10–30
About the project
I am building a commercial-use library of real, 3-axis milled parts and need reliable CNC shops willing to license their archived work. The focus is strictly on custom parts; prototypes or high-volume production pieces are fine too, but only if they fall under the “custom” umbrella in terms of geometry or setup. Here is exactly what I need for every part you submit: • 3D model of the finished piece • Native Fusion 360 file containing both the model and complete CAM setup (tool paths, tool definitions, setups) • Machine-ready G-code, split into one file per clamp/operation—three files total for a typical three-sided job • 2D drawing that captures basic dimensions and tolerances, full GD&T call-outs, and surface-finish notes • Simple info sheet: material used, city where machining took place, machine make/model, spindle speed range, coolant type—anything a peer shop would want to know before running the same job Real customer jobs are ideal as long as you have the right to share them. I strip shop names, customer identifiers, and skip anything under NDA or defence classifications before the files go public. Pilot and ongoing work • Submit 5 parts up front; each accepted part is paid at $1 as a quick validation round • After the pilot, batches move to 20 parts at a time with structured quality checks • Consistent, accurate contributors will lock in a rolling contract for steady deliveries Acceptance criteria 1. Fusion 360 file opens without missing references and simulates toolpaths error-free. 2. Posted G-code matches the Fusion setup and was proven on the machine (include a photo if possible). 3. Drawing dimensions, GD&T, and surface finish notes align with the exported model. 4. Info sheet fields are fully populated. If you already have vetted custom parts that meet these points, this is quick, recurring revenue for content you have sitting on a drive. Let’s start with the five-part pilot and grow from there.
